Historical Calendar allows you to explore history facts like events, births, deaths, and more.

• Timeline. History timeline for each day with illustrated events. You can filter based on historical periods and search for specific people or places.
• Favorites. Save events you're interested in for later reference. You can even add your own in this collection.
• Quiz. Test your history knowledge with history questions generated especially for you.
• Homescreen widget. Have a quick view on the historical facts of the day by using the widget.
• Related articles. Click on links to read more information or even access full Wikipedia articles.
• Offline mode. Enjoy the app without internet access, enable the offline mode in the Settings.
• Tablet support. The app is optimised for both phones and tablets.
• Choose your language. Content in more than 50 languages, events matching the selected culture.

• Premium features. Support the app and get access to premium features like exporting to Google Calendar or playing unlimited quizzes.

The app uses only the most up-to-date history facts from Wikipedia, available under CC BY-SA 3.0 license.

Ratings and reviews

Really cool app. I wish the home screen widget would be improved though. I would like to change the color of the background and text, at least the transparency. I don't want a half opaque white. Would be nice if it was fully opaque like most other widgets or a more pleasant transparent black. Give us a full color selector. For the top bar as well. We're limited to ten colors, but you could put a color spectrum selector so we can choose whatever we want

I like the app and I bought the pro version to remove ads and to customize the widget. If possible in a future update I'd like to see a feature to filter what events you'd like to see, for example, events/births/deaths from the US (only 🫣🫢),celeb or more positive events. I understand that history isn't all daises and roses. But there's a lot about ppl getting killed and wars. So it'd be nice if there were a filter that a person could turn on/off. Also more widget colors and/or font color.

I've used this app for years and absolutely love it! I'm a history buff.
