Big Fan I use it every day to read newspapers from around the country. It does crash quite a bit and sometimes the downloads are slow but I couldn't live without it.
Again, more problems with the app and my Nexus 7. Everything was working fine till they upgraded (???) the app on August 19th. Now it takes a day or more to download the two newspapers that I read. By the time they finish downloading, the news so old, it's not worth reading. One star again, only because I cannot give ZERO stars.
Brilliant. Automatic background downloads, widest range of press coverage, simple to use, clear & easy to read, and several other useful features ...what more can anyone ask from a "Press Reader"!!
A year later no improvement. SAME SAME. SCREEN DRIFTS AND GOES ON TO THE NEXT PAGE. HUGE PAIN. The new version every bit as bad as the old one. Slow. The page drifts and sometimes the momentum is such that it goes on to the next page. Which makes reading the newspaper a chore, as it is slow going back to the page that I was reading. The staff still maintains the problem is with my tablet, but I am not sure they understand my problem. The Guardian should take a firmer stand with this app, or find an alternative. It seems they only use Pressreader. But afterall, we ARE PAYING!
Is getting better... ...But, still the app does not download all attachments of the daily newspaper... I have checked the relative button..
No Google pay option Why does app need all my credit card details as well as my address to be able to purchase.
