app is successful at pinging my phone or computer, wow. app can send a file from phone to computer. wow. not the other way around. can control media. big whoop. can't browse files on other device. can't do anything of substance or useful in any way. the hunt for software that works and doesn't continuously try to grab data to sell... continues, seemingly in perpetuity. but not before I lost hours of my life fighting this bs, so that's cool.

This app is a big part of why I switched my laptop to Plasma. If you can get it to work, it will be a great tool. Unfortunately, there's a well-documented, long-running bug that makes it useless for me. Whenever I connect, I can push files from the phone to my laptop, but I can't access the phone from my laptop. And the entire time I'm connected I get a string of error messages scrolling down the laptop screen. Useless for bulk file management.

When my devices can see each other through the murky haze that is my unconventionally configured LAN, this app is suddenly a rock star. Sending files, remotely controlling media apps, using your phone as a HID, there isn't much to gripe about. An app I would be happy paying for (honestly) and yet it is glorious FOSS. Also, it gives me something to brag about to my Windows friends. Worth it's weight in gold, that. 10/5 stars. Linux users, don't pass this up!
