premium is required for most basic features. service is very expensive, not a good deal at all, just a money grab. i could never justify spending that much when there are so many free resources available. beginner lessons are more like intermediate and very repetitive. Cannot change native language, it automatically defaults to system settings, and dictionary language only helps so much to change native language experience. - -

It could be good, but I guess I'll never know. Why? Because the free version is so limited that you don't really get much use out of it, and I'm not willing to pay quite a lot of money without being impressed first. Sure there's a 7 day free trial, but you have to opt out or get billed. We all know the strategy. Make it as hard as possible to cancel on time, so no.

As other users have pointed out, the free version is so limited that it's impossible to decide whether or not to pay the (rather expensive) price for the full app. You are limited to 20 words, even if you then delete the ones you initially chose. It's disappointing because the app seems to be a good one amongst the many average language apps out there, but this limitation has turned me off immediately.
