I find this app far superior to duolingo in terms of helping me progress. I have issues with the speaking element often giving voice capture fails. especially on one word or short phrases. This app will not help you really learn the Thai script, but there are books like learn Thai in ten weeks that are far stronger for that. To help at a conversational level this is the best language learning app I've used.

Very nice user interface and structure. I finished the free lessons and just bought the premium lessons; however, I showed this app to my native Thai family-in-law, and they said the language used is very archaic and formal, which makes you sound strange. E.g. "kin" should be used instead of "taan" for the verb eat, and you don't use pronouns when you're talking to people, despite it being taught in the app. Edit: Gave 3 stars for good customer service.

Great App when it worked. But since recently I can no longer get the App to function. It just closes down and and freezes. Won't even load up, I was going to go premium be aide this app is brilliant but now I cannot get it to even work. Update 14/03: I have downloaded this specific Ling App for Thai, but I have found if I download the full version it works fine. Perhaps there is an issue with these specific downloadable versions? 5stars for excellent customer services.
