You can use it to do some controls and settings , such as dimming and grading, setting various dynamic modes and scenes, music rhythms of several sound sources and optional rhythm styles, timer setting for lights on/off, pixel setting, line sequence setting, etc.
MagicLantern App is designed to be fun and easy to use, with a certain degree of professionalism and ease of use.

The light I got is pretty cool but the app to change light styles and colors on sucks pretty bad. The app itself just has a horrible design to it. It could be easier to use but for some reason they make it a little hard to navigate. I also hate that you can't save color and style settings so that its easy to jump back and forth to the different colors and styles I like.

Mediocre at best. So far no problems with the Bluetooth connection. The app is very basic with confusing GUI and poorly laid out menus. You can choose any basic solid colour, but when it comes to breathing, flashing etc you get presets only and no customisation. That means you cannot program your own colour chasing; I wanted orange and blue and there isn't a preset and no custom way to make that happen. This isn't a great app at all - if you wanted to program your own, sorry. Nope.

I purchased these lights at the beginning of December 2023 and was fine. They worked in the reel they came with and all the functions, etc, but just before I put them outside, I noticed the colours did not correspond with the app. I didn't think much of it. I asked my brother to uninstall the app from his phone. They stopped working completely. I have tried uninstalling and installing again and turning the Bluetooth off and on, but no luck. I am beginning to think it was a waste of money
