About this app

Avigilon Alta Open allows users to quickly and securely open a door connected to the Avigilon Alta Access Control system with their smartphone. The application works only with the Avigilon Alta Access Control system.
We leverage the following technology in your phone to ensure the best door opening experience possible: Bluetooth low energy, Wifi and LTE capabilities as well as location services, the microphone, phone routing, and the accelerometer. The app uses foreground services to enable background functionality: location allows you to use the "Wave to Unlock" feature to ensure secure, proximity-based entry, microphone access ensures you can have two-way audio conversations with visitors at intercom-equipped doors, and phone call integration ensures you reliably receive intercom rings directly to your device.
To ensure you are authorized as a user of your company's Avigilon Alta Access Control system, please contact your administrator, who will check to see that your email address has been added and will send you links to enable your application to be authorized and credentialed.

The main issue I have is that the app keeps getting flagged by my phone for high battery usage. i periodically have to force the app open to use it. It would be great if I could schedule days and times for it to be running in the background, and force it open on an as needed basis for anything outside my normal schedule

Decent app. Does what it is supposed to do. But it keeps saying it is using too much battery running in the background on my Galaxy S23. I have to put it in deep sleep in order to get the message to go away. In deep sleep, I can still use the app to open doors, but I have to actually open the app.

I hate this app for community gate entrance. While im driving I have to open the app, then get close to sensor and usually have to wave my phone around. If they would make some type of clicker or fob I would be fine with it, but having to manipulate an app on my phone while driving is not the way. Using this app for our community doors like at the pool is fine.
