I hope people stop using OpenTable. I used then for years to go to so many restaurants & all of the sudden the app stopped working. I had no idea why. I kept trying to confirm the code. Site says nothing but doesn't let me in. I try going to the website & its mission impossible to get support. I finally find some fine print about if I canceled 4 reservations in a year. We'll I booked so many reservations while traveling that canceling 4 bc of some reason is not outlandish to say the least.

Made me log in four times in order to be able to book. By the time it actually managed to get me to book it had to keep reducing the times until I could only get one 2 hours after I wanted. Even though it showed availability at the time I requested initially and also for an hour later it kept changing the available times every time it made me log in again. Very unstable application at least on an Android

Works pretty well at what does, though it's not a panacea. Not all restaurants use it, and those that do will only set aside a certain percentage of their tables to be reservable through the app. Restaurants still like to keep control, so sometimes a phone call is even more effective. The flow for searching for restaurants you've already been to sometimes feels more convoluted than it ought to be.
