RoMote suddenly stops working? Your Roku TV's OS has updated and (intentionally?) temporarily broken support for 3rd party remotes. To re-enable, go to Roku Home > Settings > Advanced System Settings. Go down to "Mobile App Control" and set that to "Enable". That should do it. It took me a few days to find the comments here in the play store that helped get it working again. Big thanks to "A Google user" The app itself is near perfect, does exactly what I need, no more and no less.

This app is great! It doesn't do a super long handshake with the TV before being able to use the remote, and saves your previously selected device, so pretty much as soon as you open it, it works. 3 minor nitpicks: 1. You can not wake a roku tv with this app like you can the official app 2. Phone volume buttons don't control tv volume 3. It opens a media output thing in the notifications(similar to what spotify puts in notifications when playing music.) Overall, I'm very happy with this app.

There aren't many apps out there that JUST WORK, but this is one of them. It has worked for me without flaw, without fail, and without fuss. The only gripe I ever had with it was that controller view would not be shown on app launch, but that has been fixed in an update. Thank you, Developer, this app achieves a rare level of excellence among modern softwares. Reader, if this app suddenly stops working for you, enable mobile app control in your Roku TV's advanced system settings.
