Ratings and reviews

A surprisingly large number of characters, each with a set of subclasses that changes how they play to help mix up each run, unlock new strategies and freshen the experience up a bit. There's a lot of content on offer here, especially with the various game modes. Criticisms: - A few cards are too strong and basically necessary for endgame play, while some are incredibly situational to the point of absurdity. Some factions are also really weak (Elves especially). - Don't like void mode.

The ads are barely obtrusive, the general gameplay loop is addictive, it's a great game to play wherever! However, I only give it four stars because of very recent additions. The AI generated art that you see whenever a random event happens and you encounter enemies depending on the level you're on... annoy me. The artstyle for the game is consistent up until that point, as well as the new icon being AI too. I seriously hope these are placeholders for ACTUAL pixel art within the future. :)

Honestly might be the most fun card based roguelite I've played, and as long as you don't mind ads, it's completely free. I've been playing long enough to see two new modes and a handful of new classes get added and they've all been great. The balance changes have all been pretty reasonable too, usually removing strategies that require no thought and giving more to the clear underperformers. Overall has great variety and depth, a pretty cute and clear style and memorable designs.
