I've not tried any others so have nothing to compare it to. Mostly it works, I've been using for about a week since the batteries died in my remote. During that time four times it has failed to connect, I just turned tv off and restarted app and on 1 occasion needed to reinstall the app to make it work. It doesn't like using the volume buttons on side of phone, says not recognised, but does work if I keep pressing, its just very very slow. Main functions are great.

I've had a Roku tv 'stick' for a couple of years. When I've temporarily misplaced the remote, I've reverted to third-party Android apps, as interim replacements. I must've tried near a dozen alternatives. Most have fundamental flaws (such as not even 'seeing' my Roku on my network). Others just weren't all that good. THIS APP, however, ticks ALL the boxes. It connected up automatically upon initially launching the app, and fulfils all the functions of the OEM remote. Plus, it looks great! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have an old Roku 1 streaming device that was given to me, it's been extremely slow and lagging really bad! I mostly listen to music videos on YouTube. My Roku remote and other apps I've downloaded I'd have to hit the button 3 or 4 times to get it to respond and then it would take forever to download song to play. It was so bad I'd disconnect it and not even use it! This app I've just downloaded, it's a world of difference from the start, much faster! Only hit button once. Amazing improvement!
