I don't get the bad reviews. It works great, as headphones. It comes out of your phone speakers. It easier to search for movies across the apps, telling you what app has the movie and when you find the movie you want. It automatically goes to the app and plays the movie, instead of searching the app. It also acts as a keyboard. If your phones not great that could be a downfall. All in all its great.

They fixed a bug where the app kept hijacking the audio which is nice. Now if they could only fix the bug where it gets stuck on finding the previous device after the app hasn't been used for more than a few minutes. If you leave the remote up, leave the app, and then come back after say 5 or 10 minutes, you have to kill the app and re-open it. Been happening for a long time and continues even after wiping my phone and upgrading to Android 12.

When using a 3.5mm headphone adapter on a phone with a USB-C port only, the app "forgets" that you were using headphones for listening when you switch to another app briefly. Phone also alerts me that Roku app is crashing frequently. Maybe this is why often when I pause a show, I come back to find that the show has un- paused itself and I have to rewind. Very frustrating. Update 1/23/23: Nothing fixed. Down to 1 star.
