My remote has gotten wet or broken a couple of times, and this app got my TV working while I fixed/ordered a new one. It's not the absolute best thing in the world, and the idea that they cram ads on it... I mean, it's free, I guess... but hey. You just wanna know if it works. It works.

It cannot find my TV, but the Roku app can. I tried another app and it found it in seconds, but that one is like an add with a remote on the side. So unusable. This app looks solid and if i get it connected i have high hopes of it working. I even added the ip manually and put the TV on cabled internet. No luck.

Would be a great remote, maybe the best for SONY Android TV. BUT. It will frequently display full-screen, unskippable, and often UNCLOSEABLE ads while you're using it. Often you have to just close the entire app to get it to go away. Absolutely absurd had to uninstall after the last time it did this while I was trying to turn down too-loud volume and got locked out of the remote by a video ad that I couldn't skip or close even after it was done.
