I hate receiving news story notifications. I've turned all notifications off except for weather alerts, but I still receive news stories. I have sent numerous messages to the Weather Channel, but they haven't replied or fixed this issue yet. Unfortunately, I must remove the app and won't use it until they resolve this problem. I'm disappointed because it's one of my favorite weather apps, but for now, I'm using the AccuWeather app.

It's entirely wrong at least 3 times a week. They publish articles so sensationalized that they're out right lies. Recently, some astronauts are stranded in space because of their return vehicle. This app is literally saying they're "lost in space." So, if you're looking for meaningless sensationalism and unreliable weather forecasts, this is the app for you. Otherwise keep looking.

While the information is constantly updated and usually pretty accurate, I do wish that the severe alerts were more organized. If a thunderstorm being tracked is updated, I'll have multiple alerts, and it becomes difficult to keep track of which one is the most current. Remove one alert if that information is no longer accurate. As someone with storm anxiety, it becomes too overwhelming.
