Ratings and reviews

Just pushes to book hotels. It won't let you search anything without a date, so you can't lookup best places to visit, you can rank best hotels by region ect. I've never understood the need to have a date field. I just want to get advice on a trip not book it already! Choosing when I want to go is the last step in planing a trip (ideally) Just let me look up top ranked hotels, locations without a date. I'll find a better app to use instead I guess.

Recent update doesn't work when offline(!) Much of the time I'm travelling I don't have internet, either due to it being expensive or being in a remote area without cell or wifi. For example, I used to research restaurants ahead of time and add them to a trip in the app. Then when I'm exploring the place, I can easily look at the trip, show the (offline) map view and see which restaurants from my list are nearby. That use case is now completely broken as the trips screen won't load without internet. It seems the app is now a glorified web page where previously it was an extremely helpful travel companion. This change has completely crippled the app :(

Much more difficult to find places than with the old app. I didn't like Trip Advisor taking off one of my posts by not explaining why they thought it was fraudulent. If it was because I worked there for one night as a waitress I can understand the rules about staff, even though it was for only one evening over Christmas. I did stay there, many times, many years ago, and always found it very pleasant. They did serve food then, there was a Christmas do with all the trimmings.
