Ratings and reviews

Upward is a great app. Something annoying is that they recently updated "non-denominational" to "non-confessional" which makes zero sense unless maybe you're a Catholic. Please change it back. Protestants don't use this lingo and it doesn't translate well. Also, they changed the looking for "marriage" to "marriage and family". This should be changed or split into two options because some people are looking for marriage without having kids or without having more kids. That's not me, but still

Scammy App vibes, not a lot of communication. The sliding features for distance do not work. It's totally a bunch of fake profiles, and you are not able to see your likes. You have to pay to message, when you do, you can not view that. The filter options do not work at all. It was 30$ for the elite, and it changed nothing about the functions of the app. The boosts do not work. Very Scammy, dnt recommended.

I might be bias, as I met Rosie on here. (Still in dating stage, but I'm hopeful) But after using many apps over eight years, I can say this is one of the better for free features. You get a lot of chances in a day, unlimited messages once matched, and the profiles are decent. User base is still low, but not the apps fault. What keeps it from 5 stars is it will log you out a lot, then you don't get notifications, and the fact you have to have the friend feature on is a little off putting.
