ATTENTION!! This app works only with VAG cars (Audi Volkswagen Seat Skoda Porsche) that are equipped with engines listed below; the full compatibility isn't guaranteed for engines not listed, so if you buy the app, please consider that some or all functions may not work properly.
This app doesn't work with other car manufacturers due to a different diagnostic protocol.

VAG DPF shows you the most important information about the DPF particulate filter and its regeneration phases using an ELM327 Bluetooth/WIFI adapter. With this app you can know if the regeneration process is currently running, if a regeneration is waiting to be completed, how many km have you traveled since last regeneration, etc. This app doesn't use standard OBD2 commands as most other apps, it uses CANBUS commands and this is the reason why it needs a decent ELM327 adapter to work (see the note below).

IMPORTANT!! Before to buy the full app, I suggest to try the app "VAG DPF Free" to check that your adapter, your Android device and your engine work properly with the app.

IMPORTANT some of the engines above may be incompatible, it depends on the engine software version, so use the VAG DPF FREE app to check your engine before buy!!!!

Some words about ELM327 adapters:
- OBDLink LX: recommended, expensive but fast and reliable (I used it for the app development)
- Carista: recommended, affordable price but very reliable (I use it for debug and daily scans)
- Vgate iCar 2 Bluetooth : recommended, same as Carista
- Konnwei kw 903 : recommended, same as Carista
- China cloned adapter: not recommended, unreliable, you can randomly find decent adapters or fake adapters with unpredictable results

29-bit init protocol: Currently the app doesn't support the 29-bit protocol engines, but it's available the BETA engine group 97 that can be used for test, more details here:

Ratings and reviews

Would be nice if it covered the CKRA. Would also be nice if there could be an ETA for next Regen in either time or milage. Could be listed as approximate ETA. Also for some of the values to add a max mark from corporate levels. lastly but not all I have for suggestions is to let use create our own interface like we can in the torque app. I would have 5 stars if our nms cars were covered.

The perfect DPF app; it just needs a modern design. The design is all right. All the info, the filter icon changing color after temperature and so on is great. It just needs a slightly more modern design like the DPF info app and will indeed be great, but overall it is a great tool to monitor DPF regeneration. I recommend it and hope the developers will implement a nice, modern UI in the future.🙏🏻👍🏻

I've been using this app for years and I love it. Now I changed the car and the engine is DTTC and does not work. Will it be possible? Edit: is working! group 97 👌🏻😊
