About this app

Get your personalized developer feed. Curated from 2,000+ trusted blogs and publications, including GitHub Blog, Hacker News, Dev.to, freeCodeCamp, and hundreds more. Personalized to your interests and tech stack. The more you read, the smarter it gets, because it learns from you and from what over a million other developers find worth reading.

🏆 Product Hunt, Product of the Year
⭐ 18,000+ GitHub stars, fully open source at github.com/dailydotdev

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU INSTALL

1️⃣ Open the app. Your personalized reading experience is there. Technical articles, tutorials, and community discussions from 2,000+ sources, matched to your stack.

2️⃣ It gets smarter every day. AI personalizes it, and over a million developers help surface what matters. When they upvote, discuss, and share articles, the best content rises and the noise disappears.

3️⃣ Read, upvote, discuss. Every article has a conversation. You're not reading alone. See what others think, add your take, learn from the discussion.

4️⃣ Build a reading streak. Come back tomorrow and the next day. Track your streak, unlock achievements, climb leaderboards, and build a profile that grows over time.

5️⃣ Find your people. Join a Squad around React, DevOps, AI, cloud, mobile, open source, or whatever you care about. Share links, start discussions, learn together. Public or private.

💡 WHY IT FEELS DIFFERENT

Most tools in this space are glorified RSS readers or algorithm-only experiences. daily.dev is different because the community is built in.

Developers upvote articles, which teaches the system what actually matters. Not just what's new, but what's good. Discussions add context you can't get from reading alone. The real insight is often in the comments. Squads create focused curation around every topic and language. And AI personalizes on top of all of this, matching content to your specific stack and interests.

Think of it as a feed curated by a senior engineer who shares your exact interests.

PWA experience is just bad. Try again with a better solution. Like when logging in it's in a custom browser window or something and I don't have access to saved passwords. You guys are devs, do better. *Tried again after a few months and the experience hasnt gotten any better. There are no options to open articles in a preferred web browser. You're stuck using the built in browser that has 0 features. You cant even share the url of the article directly. Will be deleting my account.

Hi Daniel, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re aware of issues on the PWA, and we’re working on improving the overall experience. Until then, we’d recommend getting started with our desktop extension where the experience is smoother and staying up-to-date is much easier.

Interesting news-feed for developers. Opinions, new tech, trends and insights. AI summary, to detect click-baiting, which is really useful. You can follow people and curate your feed by the things you're interested in. You can make public, if you're on job-search. It has some paid features, but they're not advertised aggressively, so it works just fine with a free account. It's gamified, as you can have a streak, if reading daily, as it is daily dev. All in all a good platform to stay informed.

Great Tool for CS Educators, Devs & Engineers! I use daily.dev daily; it's an indispensable part of my routine. As a University Computer Science professor, keeping up with the fast-paced tech industry is a challenge, but this app makes it effortless. Beyond my personal development, it's a great resource for undergraduate teaching, sparking ideas for course topics. The comments offer a wide range of real-world views from actual devs and engineers. Highly recommend!
