I've been using soundcloud since 2011. This year is the first year I've seriously considered abandoning the app. I can't even use it when I'm on break at work because the lag and crashing is so bad. I avoid using this app at all costs when I know i need my phone to perform quickly. The old version of the app was fantastic! Easy to maneuver, color contrast wasn't too strong, utilization was easy to use and fast-loading. I regret updating. Please rehire old developers.

Worked great for years but now the Chromecast integration is broken, making it unusable for playing throughout our home. It plays fine until the Chromecast goes into ambient mode. Then it stops the music after about 20 seconds. You can restart it, but when the image on the ambient mode shifts, it will stop the music again. We are are casting our to the systems attached to our TVs so we use Chromecast with Google TV devices. We mostly play DJ mixes that are 1 to 3 hours. Fix the bug for 5 stars.

I enjoy making public playlists and reposting songs with ease, but the search feature doesn't work anymore. Every time I search, regardless of if I'm using internet or if I've cleared the cache, the app always crashes. Same thing happens when I search my likes. If I scramble my likes, that also crashes the app, the majority of the time. The follow limit gets on my nerves, too, but I understand that that's probably there for a reason.
