No ads on YouTube is a game changer. The PIP mode when watching video needs some work. It doesn't work by swiping up on my Pixel 10 Pro screen. I've just started using the PIP button at the top of the browser. I wish I could use the gesture instead. Also sometimes there's an issue with the PIP frame not showing the full framing. Sometimes the top of the frame is cut off and black space is shown below the video.

Brave is still my go-to for speed and privacy. Built-in ad blocking and Shields are solid right out of the box, no extra setup needed. As someone who likes poking around under the hood, I do wish it had extension support (even a lightweight ecosystem) because that would seriously take it to the next level. Without that, it’s not quite perfect, but still one of the best browsers on Android.

No longer clears search history on exit. Will have to find another browser that doesn't force me to do it manually. Why the hell do I need to erase my browsing history on a one by one basis now?? Asinine! 4/28: issue seems to have been corrected. Now 4 stars instead of 5 only because browser could still be a bit simpler and more streamlined.

What’s new

In this release we:
- Added the capability to “Shred” a site. This deletes all site data & closes open tabs. Initially this will not be available to all users. It will be rolled out in phases.
- Re-enabled the “ask where to save files” setting under settings > downloads.
- Made improvements to quick search engines.
- Made improvements to menu iconography.
- Upgraded to Chromium 147.
