Was an awesome app for Manga and light novels, even added audiobooks. Then, some gEniUs in corporate decided to force a totally new app and website on us from a different developer and now that I've migrated my account like this app insisted I had to, I have no bookshelves, can't read offline and can't use the $45+ of store points I had paid for because the new app is a**. A bit of good news, though: the ensh|tification of everything is proceeding apace. Thanks for the fun while it lasted...

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
BOOK☆WALKER's points you purchased previously are converted to coins on the new store once your account is migrated.* 1 point=100 coins (1 USD).
In case you cannot find the balance of coins, could you please contact M12 via the Inquiry form in their app or on website? Thank you for your cooperation.

Used to be a nice, cheap option. since they converted us users to using USD prices have nearly doubled on top of the worse conversion factor. that's not even my main gripe. they are effectively deleting American users accounts, and forcing them to use the steam early access scam clone equivalent of the app that is NON-FUNCTIONAL. I paid idk how much on this service for ~3k books over the years, and now can't use my library or even look up where in a series I was.

Loved BookWalker specifically because I could read Japanese and English books on the same account without having to switch, which is necessary on Kindle. But now they've migrated the English experience to a separate app which is functionally much worse. If I have to use a separate app for English I might as well use Kindle which has more functions... Speaking of functions, the fact highlights are limited to only 50 per book (!!) even if the book is thousands of pages long is a huge limitation!
