About this app

Legere Reader is an accessible reading tool for mobile and tablet devices. With advanced text-to-speech and a highly configurable screen layout, it can be tailored to suit every reading style from completely auditory to completely visual, plus synchronized combination of both.

The visually impaired will benefit from the ability to hear documents read in their favorite voices; students and others with dyslexia will appreciate the synchronized reading capability that integrates text and voice; and everyone who wants to hear or read their documents in their own way will benefit from the configurability of the visual and voice capabilities.

Legere Reader supports reading PDF, DRM-free EPUB and DAISY eBooks and more. It can load files from file sharing apps like DropBox, Box and OneDrive, or directly from your local device. It has direct integration with the Bookshare book-sharing service.

Important Notes:
- It is not possible to load DRM-protected books from iBooks, Kindle and Nook.
- Word level highlighting is not supported for builtin voices

AWESOME ON IOS and IMPROVING ~FAST~ ON ANDROID ! I literally LOVED this app on iPad. It helped my study alot.. BEST THINGS: it highlights BOTH the LINE and each WORD as it reads - incredibly helpful for an ADHDer like me....Interface pleasant to look at. Webpage reading handy. Seeing books as thumbnails is superior to other TTS readers on here.........The previous Android versions had quite a few problems but the dev is v responsive and has been busy using user-feedback to FIX them. Some of the fixes include: 1) Your book list is now KEPT after reinstall - yay! 2) The major problem of the page jumping around has been tackled - we'll see if it comes up again 3) It is MOSTLY finding text properly - though sometimes only on the second attempt. PROBS still include: 1) Sometimes it reads OFF the page and you have to manually find your place - esp after search. But seems mostly by just a couple of lines 2) The landscape view is not centered, but only if you START in portrait then switch...I think the app will soon be as great as the IOS version!

I want to give this 5* but there is a problem with the highlighter/copy paste function. Every time I try to copy something it goes the the mark where I am reading rather than where I am touching. It is very irritating and wasn't like this in earlier versions. This glitch really needs to be fixed.

This had been running great on my Android for two or three years and in the last six months the new updated version is awful. I can't open chapters. It's not allowing to jump to text. I'm not sure what changed but it's been lousy. I'm looking at new options.
