Ok I've used textnow for years and used to love it. Even now compared to other apps I would still recommend it. However, I'm not sure what's going on with them now. Now I call other textnow people, the sound just stops. the timer keeps going but neither can hear the other. Also, ads pop up in the middle of a call and shuts down the call also blocking audio. People are sending me pictures and videos that I never get and vice versa. My internet is 500mgbs. Def some issues nowadays

An app I've used for a long time for a second number for my business. Used to be quite good but recently the ads are getting more and more invasive, when trying to close them I still get led to some other webpage or play store. You have to pay now if you want to be able to receive verification codes too. Also if you rotate your phone while typing a message in the floating window of the app, it will delete your whole message. Pretty disappointing considering how great the app used to be.

You get what you pay for, or don't pay for. This app does a semi decent job of letting the user text and make calls. Some apps won't accept the phone number from here. There's charges to receive validation text messages, and ads pop up at crucial moments. (Charge to stop ads) If there was a trial to see what the app is like without the ads, that would be an incentive to pay the charges.
