BBC iPlayer contains a superb collection of a variety of TV shows and films, and the app seems to be very stable. The only downside for me is that it detects if I am using a VPN and prevents me from watching content, even if I am routed from the UK to another UK server. It can therefore feel more risky to watch over open wi-fi networks.

Circle of hell. Log in, then every single action prompts a message of "you have been signed out, please log in to get the best experience". Log in again, sane thing, over and over. To make it worse, I'm not even logged out, click the 'do it later ' button and you can see still logged in. But then that message insists on coming back. Every. Single. Press.

Since the update the app crashes constantly. When I'm watching a programme it freezes every ten minutes or so then a message saying "something has gone wrong." I have to keep restarting my phone and the programme doesn't go back to where I was. Also when I first access the app I get "no network" or "not available." This is extremely frustrating and needs to be fixed. I don't have problems with other streaming apps.
