About this app

This keyboard is created for those who only need a keyboard and nothing more.

To enable the keyboard:
* Open "Simple Keyboard" from your launcher
* Enable the Simple Keyboard (default system warning about tracking will be shown)
* Switch to Simple Keyboard from current Input Method (differs between keyboards, usually long-press space)
* To edit Simple Keyboard settings long-press "," or open system Settings, Languages & Input, Simple Keyboard.
* You can enable/disable all the input methods in Settings, Languages & Input, Manage Keyboards (differs between phones)

Features it doesn't have and probably will never have:
* Emojis
* GIFs
* Spell checker
* Swipe typing

Ratings and reviews

Minimalistic, awesome, regularly updated and open source. There is only one huge downside: language button changes input method, which results into switching to another keyboard if it is available in the system, and it is impossible to disable gboard on mine. EDIT: And disabling the language button is kinda pointless because I use two languages. Pressing once changes the language fine, pressing twice shuts down Simple Keyboard and brings gboard up.

Impressive minimalistic keyboard. Now updated to Android 14 - Upside Down Cake : SDK 34 This keyboard is small and lightweight. No extras like emoji etc. Just a basic keyboard. No built in trackers detected, no ads, no in app purchases. The ZEN Master's keyboard :)

Loved everything about it, then it went to complete .... Predictive Text gone, My Favourite was the notepad, so useful, gone, What the fudge? You guys had the best app out there? What really happened?
