Keep away from Sonos Have been a Sonos customer "from day 1" and it just keeps going down hill. The interaction between App and components is so slow you question weather or not you actually "hit the key". My speaker has actually been working well without the App until I wanted to change the station... App can't find the speaker anymore. Nothing helps, not even an App reinstall. Support cannot be reached made it 3rd in the chat queue before it was reset... in the meantime no more agents availabl

Unreliable, if wifi is weak. Proprietary controller is much more reliable. HUGE MISTAKE to bin them. Totally unreliable system since the upgrade to S2. The newest speakers continuously crashes out of the system. DO NOT BUY This is still continuing without anyone doing anything about it. The upgrade to a new AMP is a Waste of my money and still continues to crash. Baffeling that no solution is provided.

I downgraded to the Sonos S1 app after the nightmare that has been the new Sonos app upgrades that started last May. This app works flawlessly with Alexa. It's user interface is excellent. The "other" app frequently lost my Sonos Connect device. Sonos tech support suggested that I buy a newer model! Rubbish! Also, Alexa commands would not work on my Sonos move. And as far as Alexa was concerned all of my devices were offline. None of the tech support ideas had any effect.

What's new

Renamed the Sonos S1 Controller, this app supports systems that include the oldest Sonos products. Systems supported by this app will continue to receive bug fixes and security patches but will not receive new software features found in the new Sonos S2 app and will not be compatible with Sonos products released after May 2020.
