Nope, you can use any jump rope available. While our workouts are built specifically for our Crossrope weighted jump ropes, you can still follow along with any rope.

Do I need any other equipment to do these workouts?
No. All you need is your jump ropes, the app, and enough space to jump (no gym required).

What do the workouts look like?
Crossrope workouts are built using different combinations of jump rope intervals and bodyweight exercises for maximum calorie burn, muscle activation, and endurance training. Our workouts range from 15 to 45 minutes.

This app is trash for Android use. I jumped several days that weren't included in my weekly jump total. It counts while you're jumping, but it doesn't save that day's jump for the week. You can not connect with friends on other platforms. I'm challenging someone with Apple. I'm not able to follow or see any of his workouts. I do have an iPad, so I can use it to connect with him. I don't carry my iPad everywhere. It keeps me from using my cell. I was told the app has issues with Android. Useless.

Down from five stars. Good product when it decides to work. AMP handles have a habit of randomly disconnecting mid workout, either screwing up your numbers or forcing a full disconnect and starting over. Either way, it becomes a major annoyance when trying to beat older totals. Edit: given that the app has tendency to go on the fritz, an option to delete workouts that you don't finish would be helpful.

Been using the app for almost 2 years now and it is ever changing. The app and developers definitely deserve a 5 star with their quick response to input and fixing or changing problems that arise. The content has come a long way and trainers are alway adding new workouts. I haven't upgraded to the amp handles yet but jump rope has been an awesome part of my fitness journey and I would recommend Crossrope to everyone.
