If you are a DStv customer in a country within our DStv territories, the DStv app enables you to stream live TV, catch up on your favourite series, movies and sport highlights or download to watch later offline, all on the go.

The Live TV and Catch Up content in the DStv app will be as per your DStv subscription package and country where your subscription is held. Due to geo-blocking this content can only be played within the countries in the DStv territories.

As a DStv customer you can enjoy all of these features on the DStv app.

For legal reasons, the DStv app is not available on uncertified Google devices. Please ensure that you are using a Google-certified device by going to Google Play Store Menu -> Settings -> Device Certification.

Ratings and reviews

It doesn't work with Mobile Data; even when the Mobile Data is more than enough. It will only work with WiFi. That is very bad. DSTV first said it was my Infinix phone that was the problem; now that I have changed to a Samsung phone; it still will not work with my Mobile Data. Yes, I am logged in properly. I complained before by email. But, was told my Infinix Phone might be the problem. I have upgraded my phone to Samsung & still my "Live Programs" will not show unless connected to WiFi.

I just can't get anything on this app. I updated my Explora and then I had no access to the streaming account anymore. This is ridiculous. I have un-installed and reinstalled several times. I can't even log out of the app without un-installing the app. I feel cheated into upgrading. I have totally downgraded. I can't wait for my contract to end. I don't need DSTV with all the other cheaper options out there. Just get streaming to work!

The landscape mode has been broken for months. You are unable to rotate your phone either way. This used to work perfectly before. Stream quality is sometimes not up to par. Ads play during catch up episodes, despite the fact that a paid DStv subscription is required to use the app. Fix the landscape mode please. Edit: dropped to one star. Using the seek bar a few times causes whatever you're watching on catch up to stop working. It gives an error. This app is trash.
