Day counter widget comes in 4 different sizes for home screen and display days, hours and minutes left. It will count down to event and count up once event passes, to count the days after enabling you to track the days passed since event date.

Countdown app has large collection of widgets for home screen. We also have unique resizable list widget that can show all your tracked dates in one place right on your home screen, no need to enter application to see your upcoming events.

In order to add a countdown to your home screen you have to go to your phone's widget menu and find Countdown Widget option. Long press on one of available widget sizes that you want to place on your home screen and drag and drop onto your home screen. Configuration dialog will popup where you can pick your event from the event list, or enter a new title and date to create a new countdown event for home screen.

The app is great, but the *paid* backup system seems half assed. This time I tried to sync only to discover the "auto" backup hadn't activated in a month, and now no matter how I try to re-sync, it won't add the events it skipped before. I'll re-add them manually, but so far, the back up isn't worth the meager $2.99 it costs. EDIT: Oh, but the NEW ones I make are syncing to the OLD phone, nice. Great. Very useful. Don't pay for premium.

Wow. Wth? I tried to open the app today to delete some of my past countdown events, and it will NOT let me in. Keeps asking for my permission to allow it access to my phone calls in order for some new "calendar reminder" feature to work. This is ridiculous. I do not want this feature, and when I deny access, it throws me back out of the app. I've used this app for years and have loved it, but if it's not even going to let me in unless I elect this, it's a deal-breaker. I'll delete it.

The app is great. I love the different designs and that I can put several dates in for different countdowns. The reason for 3 stars is that the widget doesn't automatically update the number of days left. I have to open the widget and close it again for the days to update on the home screen. Really defeats the purpose of the countdown widget!
