Neutron Player is an advanced music player with an audiophile-grade platform-independent in-house developed Neutron HiFi™ 32/64-bit audio engine which does not rely on the OS music player API and thus delivers truly unique experience to you.

Have been a user of this player for years. It's user interface has always been terrible, but its sound good. Unfortunately upgraded my phone to android 13, now no files are playable. The (terrible) user interface scans all my music on the SD card, but processes none - if there is an error with the app it never reports one. Been through the forums but to no avail...

Update: Dev said the hardware ad only appears once, I said I'd raise the score if that was the case. Otherwise this is the only DLNA music streaming I use. On Xbox it's the only app I've found that doesn't pause between song or worse try to launch the audio app when running in the background especially during games to play the next song, just continuous play. UI is a bit dated and hard to get use to, but I still think despite that it's a great audio player.

The player is beautiful if you work with it. I set up a cloud server with Slskd and use the built in SFTP to stream at work and home over wifi. This has been an incredibly seamless integration into my on device library. Edit; Should mention if you don't have a connection, it'll be silent while trying to load, and then start screeching into your ears. A timeout for network mounted audio would be great, to skip them automatically if they can't play.
