Ratings and reviews

I'll be fair and not give this a one star since it may be a glitch with the current book I'm reading. However, when I leave off in a book, it doesn't remember where I left off. It might take me back to the beginning of a chapter and even several chapters back. The bookmark doesn't always work . So it sometimes is like a treasure hunt to find where I left off. Will change the rating accordingly to what happens with future books. Update: It seems to be working now.

I've actually come to like this. I was a old version guy. But I love the fact that it will also read it out loud. I solved the issue of it going back to the beginning of the book when I turn my phone by setting it permanently on Portrait mode. Pissed me off at first but I finally got it. My only question is if there will be anymore voices added for it to read from. That and it would be cool to be able to edit pronunciation of words.

I downloaded this app because it seems to be one of the few ways to read .ascm apps on Android. I wasn't satisfied with the options it gave me. I'm still trying to find out why the text to speech is behind a paywall, much less a subscription-based one. Sure, maybe I'd be able to wrap my brain around a one time payment, but a subscription? Text to speech just seems like one of those basic accessibility features for those with bad sight
