About this app

Brother iPrint&Scan is a free app that lets you print from and scan to your Android device. Use your local wireless network to connect your Android device to your Brother printer or all-in-one. Some new advanced functions have been added (edit, fax send, fax preview, copy preview, machine status). For a list of supported models, please visit your local Brother website.

- Send a fax directly from your mobile device.(This app feature requires access to the contacts list on your mobile device.)

- The copy preview function enables you to preview an image and edit it if necessary before copying to avoid copy errors.
- View the machine’s status such as ink/toner volume and error messages on your mobile device.

Ratings and reviews

This app is a bit scummy. It tries to manipulate users into enrolling themselves in ink subscription plans and other toxic predatory capitalist hogwash. It is also a very plain and stripped-down printer app with few features and very little document control. But it works. Just don't expect to do many things and look for that little X because they are definitely trying to make you think that you have to press a button, but that button diverts you away from the app and towards a website.

This works perfectly with my older brother printer. It locates new printers quickly and easily on the network and allows me to print to them. Unfortunately, this app is capable of finding their newer printers but won't work with them. Instead, the Mobile Connect app is required, but that app kind of sucks and can't find the printer even though this app can.

This used to be a wonderful application, but then it stopped working. First, when I updated the application it took a long time to print, and then the Wiifi Direct stopped working. Finally, today when I updated the application my ink was disabled I think because they weren't genuine Brother's ink cartridges. The last updates have been terrible.
