About this app

The Amazon Shopper Panel is an opt-in, invitation-only program where participants can earn monthly rewards by sharing receipts from purchases made outside of Amazon.com, completing short surveys, and enabling ad verification for the ads they see from Amazon’s own advertising or third-party businesses that advertise through Amazon Ads.

Earning rewards is easy. Simply upload eligible receipts every month by using the Amazon Shopper Panel app to take pictures of paper receipts or by forwarding email receipts to [e-mail] and you’ll earn up to $10 towards either an Amazon Balance or a charitable donation. You’ll earn additional rewards each month for every survey you complete or if you enable ad verification. Space is limited and you may only be eligible to participate in certain parts of the program. You can check if you are eligible by tapping on the tabs for Receipts, Surveys, and Ads in the app.

Your participation will help brands offer better products and make Amazon ads more relevant.

Participation in the Amazon Shopper Panel is voluntary and panelists can stop using the app, sharing receipts, answering survey questions, or enabling ad verification at any time. Amazon only receives information that panelists explicitly choose to share via the Shopper Panel, such as information extracted from uploaded receipts (including product or retailer names), survey responses, or ads they have seen.

VpnService Utilization: If you enable the ad verification feature, the Amazon Shopper Panel will utilize Android's VpnService to setup a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. The Amazon Shopper Panel will not install a VPN on your device but does use VPN device permissions to setup an Amazon DNS (https://panel.amazon.com/#faq-how-panel-using-ads), which enables Amazon to collect and use information about the ads you see from Amazon. This can include Amazon’s own advertising or ads from third-party businesses that advertise through Amazon Ads. The Amazon DNS set up is not required to enable the other Amazon Shopper Panel features. You can opt out of ad verification at any time.

The Amazon Shopper Panel is available to a limited number of Amazon customers in the US. If you received an invitation, download the app now. Interested customers who did not receive an invitation can download the app to join the waitlist and will be notified via email if space becomes available.

How do I close my Amazon account?

If you wish to delete only your Amazon Shopper Panel data or opt out of the program, you may do so through the Amazon Shopper Panel app.

Ratings and reviews

They keep changing policies so receipts have less and less value or are just not eligible at all. I also now have cases where receipts just fail to upload, which didn't use to happen prior to the last app update that went with policy changes. When you get a notification about a survey, tapping on the notification does nothing. This service is steadily degrading.

Dislike the update policy changes. Should add a flashlight to the app for visual purposes. Also, go back to the original method without limitation. This is such an inconvenience. The app also has a bug when it says to check the internet or data on when the receipt can not be accepted. It is nothing wrong with the connection. It's the app. It's no direct number for support for this app other than AMZN. They have not been fully trained on this app platform.

EDIT: Won't bother after August. Not worth the time or effort just to earn $2 or so a month. The higher-ticket buyers they're now courting probably won't bother either. (04/23: Effortless Amazon credit in exchange for scanning receipts, no buying designated products or dealing with coupons, apps and widgets. It's accepted gas station, convenience store, fast food and even purchases forwarded from email receipts in addition to standard grocery receipts.)
