Update: I'm bumping my rating up from 4 stars to 5 stars after the latest update hyphenate and parenthesize the phone numbers as I suggested in my original review. It's nice to see that my feedback was considered. A+ app! Original review: Miles better than an alternative second phone number app I was using. I've now replaced that one with Hushed. My only suggestion would be to hyphenate and parenthesize the phone numbers. It gets confusing and hard to make out the numbers.

I chose the Hushed service after doing a bunch of research. I usually expect to try an app and then throw it away. Most are trash to start with. However, the Hush app is solid and straightforward. It does what it is supposed to - create a second number, make and receive calls, and communicate via text. All of that works fine and it looks good doing it. I have no problems with the app notifying me properly. I receive texts and calls without a hitch. Recommended.

I've used this service for a year now, and unfortunately, its notifications aren't very reliable. I've missed calls and not realized I had received texts multiple times. It also will not save text messages as drafts if you close before sending. It also seems to run in the background on its own.. you can tell via push notifications that pop up regularly. Not sure what it's doing. It's okay but, I'm not renewing my plan.
