the lights are cool, I've had them since 2019 and used the app for convenience since shortly after I got them. now my remote is dying so I have to use the app, there's no other option, and for some reason the past week every time I open it I get an ad. it's not relevant, it's not helpful, I can't find a way to disable it, and it it doubles the time it takes me to turn my own lights on or off.

Used to be pretty good. Have to click the button several times usually for it to work, but that's fine. I get it, Bluetooth sucks. However, recently they've added ads with audio that block everything for several seconds before you can use the app. Look, I already paid for the light. This is unbelievably cringe.

They have started displaying intrusive full screen ads every time the app is opened. This is the only way for me to use the lights I paid money for. I should not have to deal with ads for a paid product, especially the sketchy ads they choose to display and make very hard to avoid clicking on when trying to dismiss them.
