Cant change streaming quality and it buffers ALL the time. Used to be the best streaming app but is now rubbish. Edit for 2024 - it is STILL rubbish. Even worse now. Buffers constantly. Internet speed is more than sufficient. Have reinstalled it as a last-ditch attempt. Cast icon is missing from the top right once you start playing a show, so you have to exit out of it, then hit Cast, then play your show, which then buffers for 5 minutes first.

Streaming is quite erratic and annoying. Especially when it happens near the end of a program, then jumping to the next program . Also, at times, it can take up to a minute before resuming. I live semi rural and don't have wifi, but I do have unlimited data. There is no problem accessing the internet. Why does this app struggle?

TLDR: too many ads and broken. If you switch between apps it will sometimes reset the show to the start, which will trigger ads of 15-60 seconds. Then when you scroll to find where you were it will trigger another 15-60 seconds of ads. Got the wrong place? Scroll again and more ads... If it somehow doesn't reset then it will play ads for you anyway. Why is there not a paid ad free version? What a nightmare. It's 2024 TVNZ, try to keep up.
