I was ripped off by this app more than once. I asked for a refund when they charged me twice (almost $40 altogether) for a "lead" and the would-be customer ghosted me. We never even had a conversation! Thumbtack told me that they "credited my Thumbtack account" but never did, then kept the money when I closed the account altogether because it's a total ripoff. I'm going to pay less for 6 months for a website than a month of Thumbtack. 👎🏼

leads are expensive. some of the leads they give arent worth the price they charge. they make you pay for the lead before any service and the customers have 6 different people quoting them, " price shopping" to see who is the cheapest. yet all 6 of us paid $50 for the leads. Just spent $160 this week and all of them went to some crackhead willing to do a $500 jobs for $100. the more I use it the more I want to cancel it. it was an ok app at first but honestly its not worth it.

too expensive, most leads dont pan out, even if i set a budget. the leads that do pan out don't pay enough to mitigate the lead cost. also you pay for a lead that is sent to multiple pros, which means they also pay fo the lead. A lead can cost ~$36.00 and many leads are just shopping around for cheapest price. so bringing the price up just doesn't pan out.
