Free, live flight tracker and flight status app from FlightAware for Android!

This app allows you to track the real-time flight status and see the live map flight track of any commercial flight worldwide and general aviation (private, charter, etc) in the United States and Canada.

Track by aircraft registration, route, airline, flight number, city pair, or airport code. Tracking data includes complete flight details and full-screen maps with NEXRAD radar overlay.

Receive real-time push notification flight alerts, view airport delays, see nearby flights (in the sky overhead), and more!

Permission to access your Contacts is used only when you choose to create a flight alert to be sent to another person. We do not store or transmit your contacts list in any other way.

I use it when my dear ones fly, it gives me a good feeling to know where they are, how long before arriving and most of all relief when I see " landed". I remember when I used it for the first time for my son's long flight and the green line stopped in the middle of the ocean for a couple of hours...😀...I was terrified...until it started again. At that moment I noticed the small letters note that said the radar canno.7t track the flights in some areas. Thank you for "flightaware"

Giving it 2-stars for the extremely poor flight tracking. More often than not the app loses track of the flight and shows "estimated" for almost the entire journey. This is despite other competing apps clearly showing the plane is still trackable. This causes unnecessary anxiety as we as users would fear the worst for our loved ones. Definitely not recommended.

Like so many apps now, wants to bombard you with notifications. however, unlike other apps, it's impossible to use unless you agree to receive notifications. The programmers have set it so there's no way to get past the "want notifications" pop-up without agreeing to notifications.
