The app works or it doesn't. Rakuten in general is great, especially with the desktop add-on. The app only works correctly sometimes. I've reinstalled and cleared cache and it still only partly works. Sometimes I can't get into any profile/account info. Sometimes the biometrics don't work. Currently I can't see any history, it shows my last trip was 2023 (which is not true.)

Thank you for this feedback. The biometrics function is a feature of your phone. Once activated, our app may take advantage of it to verify your identity when accessing certain parts of our app. You can find a complete list of all Shopping Trips under the My Account (the person icon) section. Used to be good, but now it's just a huge waste of time and a massive rip off. Cashback stays pending until it becomes so old in your history, that it disappears from your log, and then you don't even know what what happened to it. Also, customer service used to be good. It was easy to get your cash back fixed. Now, they just give you the run around. I'm about done with them. Don't waste your time using them!

It typically takes 3–14 weeks for pending Cash Back to be confirmed. This waiting period exists in case of returns, exchanges, exclusions or other changes to the order(s). I am rather disappointed with the app because I have been waiting for cash back since Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Seeing as it is now May, I have waited more than 14 weeks/120 days after my purchases and still have yet to receive my cash back. The purchases have disappeared from my pending transactions. I'm just incredibly saddened with my experience in the within the last 6 months.
