Ratings and reviews

Worst bank I've ever used. A €200 transfer has been stuck for 9 days. Support requested excessive personal information about the sender, including address, date of birth, and even a passport copy. After I provided the requested details, they stopped responding for 3 days. I was told the review would take up to 48 hours, but that deadline passed with no updates. App support only sends template replies and cannot help. Poor communication, long delays, and high fees. Would not recommend.

Fees are now ridiculous, fee to accept incoming transactions. when I first started with monese, there was a fee of £1.00 for withdrawals, wasn't happy but could deal with it. they then increased that to £1.29 with notice, fair play. they now charge to receive money into your account! I wouldn't be surprised if soon they increase the fee for this too! there is literally no benefit to using this account over other banks. I have been a customer for many years but I've had enough now.

fees are really silly now would like to close my account but it's unclear why the app won't let me! Feel like it's gone a bit scummy/scammy. inactive account charges are crazy. like the app could totally warn you that you might be incurring an unnecessary charge but it seems like they are more interested in taking money from you. Avoid.
