Ratings and reviews

Extremely buggy piece of software, borderline dysfunctional. Don't trust what you see in it - it'll make messages vanish entirely, or it might only display a section of a long message, or it'll swap message authors. On the desktop app, Sarah might say something, but on mobile it looks like Paul did it. Really weird stuff. I've been reporting bugs for years and they've been on the backlog for years with no action taken.

the new floating message overlay is horribly implemented. Home, Back, and even locking the phone wouldn’t close the messaging window. I had to specifically tap the floating bubble just to get out. I discovered this when my wife called and I couldn’t answer because Slack was stuck over my screen. Annoying normally, but potentially dangerous if someone needed to quickly call 911 for example. An app overlay should NEVER be able to prevent normal phone functions.

The mobile and desktop apps really need to be streamlined. Mobile notifications for messages I already read on desktop don't get cleared, so I end up having to read through and clear the redundant notifications on my phone. Not exactly a good use of time. I like Slack, but with the shift to work from home, I get more messages and notifications than ever, and this is getting really annoying.
