Ratings and reviews

This app used to be great, but lately it doesn't update which plugs are turned on or off, so you can't tell which lights are on if you aren't in the same room. If you use the outlets for something else, it would be even harder to tell. Also, I wish it had an 'Away' setting we could use that would pause all or some of our on/off schedules when we're travelling if we choose.

As of the latest update in July/August 2026, it no longer shows the accurate on/off status of the devices on the "All Devices" main page. I've cleared the cache, reinstalled the app, deleted and re-added devices but the problem persists. The main devices page instead shows you the status hours ago, perhaps when you last had the app open or the last time you selected the individual device, etc. I'm surprised others haven't noticed the glitch yet!

Overly Complicated. There are too many options for some things, and not enough for others. Kasa should get an average person to advise them how to set up the app, not somebody who loves to micromanage. I just want to be able to say, all these plugs over here should be on between these hours. I don't need scenes or routines, just a simple, straight forward schedule.
