I am looking to get another security cam...the one i have is not stable and difficult to deal with despite strong wifi connection. The app is glitchy and it takes too long for the camera pic to load. Also, there doesn't seem a way to manually turn off the spot light when it isn't needed. The video lags often as well. I am now too weary of using anran, esp when needing immediate and stable security.

Great cameras but the app settings and layout is a little unintuitive compared to others. Also, there's a bug in the app using their new 18x optical zoom camera where i have to enable fullscreen mode first, switch to UHD then i can back out and use the zoom feature. otherwise zoom doesn't work in PTZ mode and i have to do this every time i relaunch the app. edit: Now it's failing to load recordings and the app is crashing when using it. I'll update this review once it's fixed.

Horrible playback/history menus. This seemed good value at first, but all it does is record 20 seconds clips where the human detection was so slow the clips are missing the first 5 seconds of a persons appearance and you just see a frame or two of them leaving. Selecting footage to playback from the timeline is crude and clumsy and the history menu often lags when trying to play clips. Notifications become annoying as you get two for every motion trigger and its so slow to view. Frustrating.
