Cryptomator is a simple tool for digital self-defense. It allows you to protect your cloud data by yourself and independently.

• File content and filename encryption with AES and 256 bit key length
• Vault password is secured with scrypt for enhanced brute-force resistance
• Vaults are automatically locked after sending app to background

I chose this because it asks for an upfront cost, rather than a costly subscription: well done! You got me. Works well. It connects to my cloud services easily, I can browse encryption images directly from the app. Perhaps the only thing I miss is fingerprint authentication, which I hope they will make available with the next release.

Great idea in theory but kind of disappointing in practice and I wish I could get my £9 back. No way to import folder structure; I had to recreate my folder structure from scratch and then import each folder one by one. This might have been bearable but the app either crashes during file import or it imports one or two less files than I actually selected. For example I select 20 files from my local storage to import but it only imports 18. Happens randomly and is very frustrating.

So annoying... I can't upload files that are already in my Drive (HAVE to be from device). I can't leave an upload going in the background (no option to keep vault unlocked while uploading, so it auto cancels). No image/video preview icons. Also, if you use instant lock, it locks while you're in the upload screen LMFAO! Worthless. You expect me to download TERABYTES of files AND reupload them ALL with awful internet? And then expect me to have the app opened that entire time? Give me a break...
