Terrible algorithm. I ported over from TikTok and it's a completely different experience. I mark probably 95% of the videos they recommend as "not interested" but they keep sending me the same garbage. The only decent user experience is in the "following" section. I've never watched the type of content they're slinging at me on the FYP in my life. Rednote is so much better.

they have great filters and tons of activities to participate in I feel like the app is mostly for girls. Other than the pictures I make and post I really don't do anything else on this app because the activities I feel like are only for what a girl would wanna participate in

Been using for over a year now and can confidently say that there's been no improvement. There's no dark mode. I can completely close app/reset my phone, and still it'll open to a black screen (stuck on previous video.) There's no AI prevention. And lately, in my suggested feed, there are no videos, only post. Which is weird considering I only ever use this app to watch videos... These don't matter individually, but it's been going on for months with people pointing it out. They should be fixed.
