When you search it brings up irrelevant items, results will continually pop up on your phone and when you click on it you are redirected to the home page. 90% of items hasn't got a shipping value and if there is one it is 10x the items value. Almost every item you have to consult with a person, no catalogue to choose from. I have made purchases through a lot of online platforms and still haven't made one on alibaba. For straight forward transparent orders I use Ali express.

Edit: Can't upload even a 5 sec video evidence. Have to use a PC Impossible to turn off their marketing/promotion notifications no matter what boxes you check. They won't go away!!! I open the app every day to dozens of these marketing notifications, thinking I have messages. I'd much rather talk to suppliers off the platform at this point! Also, scrolling to the top of a chat doesn't work on samsung phones. it works on tablets. It's been 5 months, and this still hasn't been fixed.

this platform is just horrible. I got a counterfeit device instead of the real one, asked for a refund and sent it back, seller kept the money, when asked alibaba "buyer protection" to step in, provided clear evidence of what seller did, they just let the seller steal from me. Avoid this app at all costs! many items are counterfeit and when you buy something fake don't expect them to help you. they will ask for the item back and then just steal your money. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
