Looks great and performs well, but needs more localization. It's Google Search - what can I say? When it comes to the Web, it will find almost anything and because it is embedded deeply within Android, it works flawlessly in this aspect... The localization however, is appalling as some sporting codes (such as the AFL) are missing entirely, whilst other content (such as the television and video cards) are "hidden" from (user) view due to the lack of localization.
Why did you change the widget??? I had it adjusted perfectly; 2 grids of space. Just enough to quickly with one touch access the text and g voice search, without taking up more home screen space. Now its a G logo which always requires two touches. Sure I could make it three grid spaces, but that requires me to make room on my maxed out homepage. Ya I could always use “ok Google", but it fails quite often and does not recognize my voice very well and I have trained it several times. Listen people, if it ain't broken don't fix it.
Not remembering customized cards Recently, cards I don't want and news items I'm not interested in keep reappearing. Weather, directions home, sports highlights, I turned them off, cleared cache, uninstalled...still getting them. Samsung Galaxy A8
Now on tap doesn't enable As soon as I enable it it goes back to the enable screen
Genuinely concerned about the future So much of the way that I interact with the Internet is through this corporation, but it's dominant position in the market is almost certainly temporary.
Good But why can't we have both swipe up for Now and long hold for Now On Tap?
