App itself works fine with a decent UI that looks good and does what is needed for the basic game. Basically, it's just a somewhat more convenient version of the physical rulebooks/codexes. They really should include a CP, VP, and maybe even unit health counter in the app when in the "command bunker" tab. They could also maybe have a tutorial mode or something to walk new players through their turns? Subscription is a worthless money grab after already paying for codexes, plastic, etc.

has good but very limited datasheets. you can only make 1 army using the free version and about half of the total amount of minis datasheets are locked and require you to have a physical copy to be able to unlock the digital version. so just a big pay wall to block what I need. could have been better as GW could've asked for a one time purchase for the datasheets or a subscription but needing a physical copy is a waste cause why use the app when you have the paper in your hands?

The app does make games simpler and efficient but it has too many pay walls that are overpriced for what you get. As well why wouldn't I be able to buy a virtual version of the codex or just buy a code to unlock the army. Also buying a codex for them to relock you out of your army because a newer version came out is absolutely insane. It's like saying I poorly balanced an army now pay me for it.
