Air Control is the new platform from Aloft (formerly Kittyhawk). Air Control is rebuilt from the ground up to bring new levels of automation and compliance to our industry-leading drone operations and airspace management solutions.

I've tried to get authorization to fly on this app 10 times in the last 2 weeks. Not a single time did it complete the request. I get all the way thru the process, and then it thinks for a minute and fails. (Of course just now I try it, when I don't want to fly, and it works.) The most annoying part is it doesn't tell you what's wrong? Are they denying me? Is it a connection issue? Doesn't work on weekends, or after 5pm? Please do better.

This used to be a good app! I'm a Part 107 pilot and used this a lot for getting auto approval in certain airspaces. However, it became useless now as it doesn't show the map layers/restricted airspaces!! That's one of the 1st and most important things for this app and it doesn't work anymore! Looks like the developers doesn't care anymore and just abandoned it... very sad! Switched to smth else!!!

Used to work very well for LAANC requests, lately the app has become increasingly unstable. EDIT July 30 2025: It's still a coin flip whether or not Air Control works properly. I keep it around to have a second source of TFR's (autopylot can miss them and they show up on air control, and vice versa), but I wouldn't rely on it as my only LAANC provider because the bugs have persisted.
