Diabetic foot is one of the main complications of diabetes mellitus, responsible for a significant portion of hospital admissions, in addition to the morbidity and mortality that affect patients affected by the disease. Hospitalizations caused by diabetic foot are usually prolonged and recurrent, requiring a large number of outpatient consultations and the need for home care, generating a high cost.
